This Association is a subsidiary of the Ohio Municipal League. Here, I represented municipal public safety directors before the Ohio General Assembly. I also was in charge of administering the Association.

The Ohio Municipal League represents hundreds of cities and villages throughout Ohio. At the League, I represented Ohio municipalities before the Ohio General Assembly. I focused on healthcare, financial accountability, and workers compensation. I also worked closely with the Ohio Municipal Attorneys Association, helping them write and edit their state manual. Here, I learned how municipalities throughout Ohio are financed and how they function.

I joined the Army when I was 17 years old. I served at Camp Casey in Korea for a year, which is a camp in the north, near the DMZ. In 2003 I was deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom, where I provided security at Camp Wolverine and Camp Virginia.  


I was awarded the Army Achievement Medal twice and attained the rank of Sergeant.

  • On behalf of KH Excavation, successfully won a trial against 2K General Company for payment of invoice.



  • State of Ohio v. Nguyen, Athens County Municipal Court, 2025CRB00504
  • On behalf of Nguyen, successfully won a trial on whether she disrupted a public meeting.


  • I Love This Bar v. Ohio Liquor Commission, 10th Dist. Franklin No. 21AP-111, 2022-Ohio-3509.
  • On behalf of appellant, successfully argued that the Ohio Liquor Commission and the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas was wrong when it upheld a citations issued for violations of COVID 19 protocols.

  • Successfully argued, on behalf of appellant, that trial court was wrong in granting plaintiff’s motion to dismiss.

  • Successfully negotiated for favorable settlement in overtime wages case.


  • Integrity Trust Homes, LLC., v. Ellis, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio, No. 2:20-bk-55537.
  • Successfully negotiated for favorable settlement in fraud case.


  • State ex rel. Preterm-Cleveland et al. v. David Yost, et al., No. 2022-803.
  • On behalf of One Nation Under God Foundation, presented amicus brief in opposition to request of Relators to create an Ohio “Roe v. Wade.”

  • Hook-N-Haul v. Ohio State Highway Patrol, et al., Case No. 21CA0056-M
  • Sue the Ohio State Highway Patrol for a writ of mandamus, asking the Court to order the Patrol to put Hook-N-Haul back on the tow rotation list.
  • After a year of protracted litigation, the Patrol relented and placed the company back on the list without a court-order.



Representative Work With Ohio General Assembly

  • Fiscal Officer Integrity Act. House Bill 10, 130th General Assembly.
  • Helped draft and advocated for passage of standards for training and removal of local government fiscal officers. Signed into law December 19th, 2014.


  • Workers Compensation for Firefighter Cancer. Senate Bill 27, 131st General Assembly.
  • Advocated against the original language, ultimately drafting the language passed by the General Assembly enacting standards to provide workers compensation for firefights with cancer. Signed into law April 6, 2017.


  • Workers Compensation Budget. House Bill 27 132nd General Assembly.
  • Drafted and advocated for provisions creating a statute of repose for certain claims, creating a statute of limitations for certain claims, allocating $2.5 million for safety awareness programs. Became law June 30, 2017.
